What is Hot Mess Express?
Hot Mess Express is a group of moms and caregivers who come together to rescue moms in need by doing the housework that can seem impossible. Whether these moms are dealing with postpartum depression, medical problems, social issues, or life burdens, Hot Mess Express is here to alleviate as much stress as possible by doing dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, and organization. Our goal is to leave these ladies with a more peaceful existence and give them a fresh start.
How did it start?
Hot Mess Express was started by Jen Hamilton in July 2021 after seeing a mom ask for recommendations for a cleaning company to help dig her out of her funk. This mom had posted anonymously in a moms group that she was dealing with postpartum depression and couldn’t really afford to hire someone to help but also knew that she didn’t want to live this way anymore. The housework piling up was making her life so much more stressful. Jen asked other moms in the group if they would be willing to come together and help this mom. That Saturday, the first ever Hot Mess Express rescue mission was complete!

No mom ever pays for this service and all volunteers are just that…volunteers. Just a group of likeminded, loving ladies who want to help another mom.

All moms are nominated, whether by themselves or someone else to the chapter that is local to them. From there, the local chapters review the nominations and choose each recipient.
